Bible Baptist Church of Aztec, NM
Outreach Ministry
Since 1958, thousands of people have trusted Christ as their personal Saviour through BBC's services, classes, and ministries. Each week we encourage our members to participate in volunteer community outreach throughout the quad-city area. Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month our visitation and soul winning outreach meets at 10 AM. We partner unexperienced volunteers with an experienced Christian, and spend time visiting and reaching the lost with the Gospel of Christ.
Door to Door Soul Winning Outreach
Christ’s last command before He ascended to Heaven is found in Mark 16:15: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Every person has an eternal soul, and it is our privilege and responsibility to share with them the good news of salvation.
Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Although we do not save souls, we are to witness to them and lead them to the Lord who does save them.
Every week Bible Baptist Church members share the good news of salvation and invite people to church from our surrounding community. Many of the people who've visited our church were met at their house by a soulwinner and a friendly invitation. Through the outreach ministry of door to door soulwinning many people have trusted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. The Lord has greatly blessed our efforts with many of all ages coming to know the Lord as Saviour.
Weekly Visitation
Hebrews 10:24–25 instructs, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Visitation is a tremendous way to provoke—or stimulate—those who visited our church recently unto love, good works, and faithful church attendance.

We consider the value of just one visit to be very important. It can accomplish one or more of the following: Inform a recent visitor about our church ministries and Sunday School classes, Encourage a visitor or a church member, allow us to deliver welcome packets and/or gifts to the visitor.
Visits for our Sunday School attendees are also important to us as they: Encourage a student’s parents or family, help us better understand our students (When it comes to really understanding a student’s special needs or prayer requests, there is no substitute for making home visits), allow us to deliver a gift to our students, and/or seek any unsaved family members and witness to them.
Of course, staff and teachers are not the only ones who can make visits. Other class leaders as well as other members in general may wish to visit one another to encourage faithful growth.

We have discovered that you can impress people from a distance, but you can only impact them with a personal touch. That is why our weekly visitation program is vital to our church and it's growth.
