Salvation
Have you ever wondered what happens when you die?
Will you go to heaven?
God wants you to know that you can spend eternity in heaven with Him when you die.
It is as simple as A, B, C!
Admit you are a sinner before God and that you need forgiveness.
- THE FACT OF SIN: Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Even the best person has to honestly admit they have done wrong.
- THE PRICE OF SIN: Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death;" ...there is a payment required for our sin -- death. We will all face death someday, the Bible says so: Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Are you ready to face the judgment of God? Forgiveness of sin is simple just...
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
- GOD'S GIFT: Romans 6:23b "but the gift of God is eternal life throught Jesus Christ our Lord." There is a payment of sin, but God gives us a free invitation to eternal life through belief in Jesus Christ.
- GOD'S SON: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God loves us so much, that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die in our place and pay the penalty for our sins.
- GOD'S PROMISE: I John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God: that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." God says we can know that we are going to go to heaven. No more worrying, no more guessing. No more fear of the judgment of God when we die.
So how do we recieve the free gift? Simply confess that you are a sinner, and accept the gift of eternal life bought by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Confess your need for forgiveness of sins.
- CONFESSION UNTO SALVATION: Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Ask Jesus to save you, believe in what He did on the cross to pay for your sins. Please look at the promise. If we believe..."thou shalt be saved." Not maybe, or possibly, God promises that you shall be saved!
- CONFESSION UNTO REPENTANCE: Luke 13:3 "I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Repentance is simply turning from your way and accepting God's way -- payment for your sins by Jesus Christ.
- CONFESSION UNTO THE SAVIOUR: Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." It doesn't matter if you go to church, or your denomination. It doesn't matter if you have never even attended church, or if you only sometimes attend. All that matters is that you admit your sin, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and trust Him and Him alone for your salvation. Jesus told us, John 6:40 "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up the last day." those are the very words of the Son of God, Jesus Christ...that every one that believeth on Him will be raised up to eternal life!
It truly is as simple as A, B, C!
If you have never asked Jesus Christ to be your Saviour, you can do it right now! With Jesus as your Saviour, and God in your heart, life will make a lot more sense, and you will find the peace of God that you have never known before. Pray like this...
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned, and I need forgiveness. I believe that You came to this world, and died on the cross for my sins, and after three days rose from the dead. I accept Your free gift of salvation and the promise of everlasting life. I now place my trust in Your finished work on the cross, and I ask You to come into my heart as my personal Saviour. I trust You and You alone for my promise of eternal life. Thank you for keeping your promise. Amen."
